Austria Vienna has signed Andrea Gilbo, who will be joining from St. Pölten next season. The 24-year-old striker has signed a contract until the summer of 2028. Gilbo expressed positive feelings about the talks with Austria Vienna and the club's vision for the future. She sees great development potential in the team and is looking forward to the challenges in the league and the Champions League qualifiers. Gilbo was born in Tyrol in 2002 and, due to her Croatian roots, has played for the Croatian youth national team. She began her career at SK Rum and later moved to Wacker Innsbruck. At the age of 19, she joined SK Sturm Graz, where she played for three seasons. In 2024, she transferred to the then champions SKN St. Pölten, where she spent the last two years. Stefan Kenesei, the head coach of Austria Vienna, praised Gilbo as a player with goal-scoring threat and creativity at the highest level. He emphasized her ability to significantly influence matches and her positive energy, which enriches the team. Austria Vienna warmly welcomes Andrea Gilbo.
