FK Austria Wien signs Sandra Jakobsen. The 27-year-old joins from Sturm Graz. At the Steirerinnen, she had spent two years before. "After following Austria for the last two years and already playing against the team several times, I believe this club is perfect for me. The league title, cup win, and Champions League qualification in this season show the high ambitions of the club. I am proud to be part of this development now", says Jakobsen about her transfer to Wien-Favoriten. With 27 years, Jakobsen has already had several stations. Her career began in her homeland Denmark, before she moved to the USA for her football and academic education. After completing her college, she moved to Sweden in 2024 to join the second-tier club Sunnanå SK. After only half a year in the north, Jakobsen moved on, this time to Austria, where SK Sturm Graz signed her. In total, two seasons, the offensive player spent at the Schwarz-Weißen and quickly established herself as a regular starter. In total, 50 duels she played with the Steirerinnen, in most of which she was in the starting lineup. With the transfer of Sandra Jakobsen, coach Stefan Kenesei strengthens the offensive midfield and sets his sights on a new important player for the upcoming season. "We are very happy that Sandra has decided to join us! In the past two years, she was one of the defining players in the offensive play of Sturm Graz. With her creativity, playfulness, and goal-scoring ability, she has left her mark on the league and always made the difference. We are all the more happy to welcome Sandra in our ranks and to take the next steps together", says Kenesei.
